Azahara Sanz Jara, born in Spain and based in Salzburg, studied dance at SEAD, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid.

Professional Dancer experience

She dances and collaborates with CieLAROQUE/ Helene Weinzierl (AT) since 2019 until nowadays. She has also worked for Ceren Oran (DE), b-m.w dance company (AT), Opera productions at the Salzburger Festpielle (AT), La Fura dels Baus (ES) and others.

OWN WORK AND COLLABORATIONS

Her newest work "Merging", premiered in October 2024 at the tanz_house festival, ARGEkultur, Salzburg.
In 2023 she collaborated with Jolyane Langois and Luan De Lima in "H.D"
In 2022 she presented her solo, "Emotional Creatures", at the performDance ARGEkultur, Salzburg. The dance movie "CALMA" (2020), result of a collaboration with the filmmaker Christian Borchers was also screened at the festival.
In 2019 her first solo work, "Resonations" was finalist at the Young Creators Contest of Madrid.
